Paris, 19 September 2008 – Baker & McKenzie advised AXA Private Equity on the creation of AXA France Investissement, a simplified fund of funds with total initial commitments of €50 million, pursuant to the France Investissement mechanism promoted by Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).

The fund is intended to improve the self-financing capability of French SMEs. AXA is initially contributing 60 percent and CDC 40 percent for the creation of the fund.

The Baker & McKenzie team on this deal was led by Paris private equity Partner Bruno Bertrand and associate Frédéric Moulin.
