Carl Svernlöv Appointed Adjunct Professor at Uppsala University
Stockholm, 25 November 2008 - Baker & McKenzie Partner Dr Carl Svernlöv from the Firm’s Stockholm office has been appointed Adjunct Professor in the Law of Business Organisations at the Faculty of Law by the Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University (founded in 1477). Dr Svernlöv will combine this position at Uppsala University with his present practice at Baker & McKenzie.
Carl Svernlöv is an attorney with Baker & McKenzie in Stockholm since 1990. He specializes in mergers & acquisitions and the law of business organisations with a particular focus on corporate governance and liability. He holds an LL.D. from Stockholm University.
Dr Svernlöv has published several books and a number of articles on Swedish and international corporate and business law. In 2007 he was appointed by the Swedish government to investigate and propose changes to the Swedish Companies Act for small and medium-size enterprises, and delivered his first partial report in May 2008.
