Brussels, 1 October 2008 - Baker & McKenzie announces that it has advised Telenet NV on the acquisition of the cable TV business of the Pure Cable companies (associations of municipalities in Flanders, Belgium ) and the creation of long leases on their network, covering 1/3 of the territory in Flanders, which completed on 1 October 2008.
Telenet NV is a listed Belgium-based telecommunications operator, whose mission is the confluence of television, telephony and technology.
The four pure cable companies, Integan, Interelectra/Intermedia, PBE, and West Vlaamse Energie en Teledistributiemaatschappij (WVEM), operating in the Flanders region of Belgium transfer their TV activities including their digital TV business InDI to Telenet but retain their the ownership of their network..
